Deb Chenois has been a financial superstar at Onpoint for nearly two years and has always been a go-getter. Where financials matter the most she shines to give us the best financial support possible. Recently she won best in finance in Louisville and has continued to be a great example for the rest of us.

When did you start at OnPoint?

February of 2023

How would you summarize what you do?

How much time do you have? ๐Ÿ˜Š Broadly, my job is to provide financial management for OnPoint. This means providing and interpreting our financial data for our leaders and our external partners. I also work with Chelsea to provide HR support for the company.

Can you tell us a few details about your favorite part of the job?

I love working with my team! Kevin Beam, Dione Link, Chelsea Elder, and Patti Pullen are second to none when it comes to work ethic and commitment to the success of our business and our employees. They each have their strong suits and together they are unstoppable.

Please share any recent accomplishments or a particularly fulfilling aspect of your work.

My mom told me once that I am motivated by challenge, and we have no shortage of that at OnPoint ๐Ÿ˜Š. Iโ€™m so grateful for the learning opportunities I've had since joining the company.

What do you like most about OnPoint's company culture? Share an example:

I love that we are compassionate, but at the same time results-oriented. It's a difficult balancing act for these two things to be true at the same time!

Tell us the most significant project you handled and how its impacted OnPoint?

Last year we completed the integration of Guardian and OnPoint's financials, which was a critical task in and of itself. At the same time, we migrated our financial reporting system from QuickBooks to NetSuite. These two items together were transformational for the company.

Who inspires you the most within our organization?

Wow this is a tough question, can I pick two? Jenniffer Breitenstein and Tim Clark are two leaders that are a joy to work with. Both of them are tireless and face into challenges without flinching.  They have very different styles, but in they end they both prioritize team over self and that attitude is contagious.

Where are you from?

Akron OH originally.  After college I moved to Milwaukee WI, from there out to San Francisco, then to Portland OR, back to Akron, then to Bloomington IN before landing in Louisville in 2001.  Weโ€™re done moving ๐Ÿ˜Š

Where did you go to high school/college?

I went to Revere High School (Go Minutemen!) in Richfield OH, Bowling Green State University (Go Falcons!), and Ashford University for a fully online MBA very late in life. Remember, Itโ€™s never too late to learn!!

Tell us what you do for fun?

So many things! I love to travel. I have a group of girlfriends that usually travel internationally once a year โ€“ next year we will be on a River Cruise on the Siene in France. My family has a 5th wheel trailer and we love to camp. Being outside and active is critical for me physically and mentally, but I am also a jigsaw puzzle nerd. We have two adult sons that live here locally and I love hanging out with them.

What is your favorite show?

Weโ€™ve watched some good ones lately! My husband and I are currently watching The Perfect Couple and Bad Monkey
